This photograph was taken long before our society became scared of our own shadow. Now our government officials and media pundits constantly use fear to sell their positions. In the 1970′s there were no hand sanitizers and we didn’t know about lime disease. I can’t imagine a parent allowing their child to kiss a deer today, but back then it was no problem.
